My Home Cleaning Favorites (Amazon Finds I Actually Use)

Keeping a home clean doesn’t have to feel like a part-time job. Over the years, I’ve learned that the right tools make cleaning faster, easier, and honestly… a little more enjoyable. I’m a busy mom, we have a dog, and life gets messy. These are the products I reach for over and over – the ones that actually simplify my routines and help our home feel cozy and cared for.

I’m sharing everything below, but I’ll link my ShopMy list at the end so you can browse it all in one place.

My Daily (and Almost-Daily) Cleaning MVPs

Dyson V15s Detect Submarine Absolute

This thing has earned its place in our home. It handles both dry vacuuming and wet cleaning, which means I can do a quick whole-house sweep without switching tools – just attachments. The laser dust detection is both satisfying and mildly horrifying, but in a good way. It shows you what you would have missed.

I especially love using the wet mode in the kitchen after meals. It cuts my reset time in half and leaves the floors feeling genuinely clean, not streaky. Yes, it’s an investment, but it’s one of the most used tools in my house.

eufy L60 Robot Vacuum with Self-Empty Station

If I could only pick one cleaning tool to keep, the robot vacuum would win. We have lovingly named it Rosie (remember The Jetson’s?). I run it every day because pets + kids + crumbs = constantly dirty floors. The self-emptying feature on this vacuum means I don’t have to think about it, and it keeps up with everyday messes so the whole house feels cleaner without me doing anything. This is my number one tip for maintaining your home – vacuum once a day… so let the robot vac do it for you.

There is a newer model of this vacuum, but the L60 is the one we use and love. It’s a solid workhorse.

O-Cedar RinseClean Spin Mop & Bucket System

For deeper weekly mopping, this is my go-to. The clean-water tank makes a huge difference. No dipping back into dirty water. That grosses me out. I use the Dyson wet cleaner for quick jobs, but when I want a true scrubbed-clean feeling (bathrooms especially), this one wins. Hands down.

The Cleaning Products I Always Keep on Hand

OdoBan

This is my secret weapon. It’s affordable, effective, and wildly versatile. I use it for floors, laundry deodorizing (my hero!), pet areas, and general sanitizing. The “Fresh Linen” scent is my favorite because it’s clean without being overpowering.

Mrs. Meyer’s Cleaning Products

When I want my house to smell cozy without spraying synthetic perfumes everywhere, I grab Mrs. Meyer’s. Their multipurpose spray is what I use for day-to-day counter wipe-downs. I also love their seasonal scents – nothing too strong, just soft and homey.

The Pink Stuff – Miracle Cleaning Paste

It really is a miracle. If you’ve never used this, it’s a fun one. It works wonders on pots, oven doors, grout, and anything that needs a little extra scrubbing power. We have a glass-top stove (that I hate), and this stuff removes the burnt on food from dinner. I pair it with my Rubbermaid power scrubber for really stubborn stains.

Tools That Make Cleaning Weirdly Satisfying

Rubbermaid Reveal Power Scrubber

Basically an electric toothbrush for your home, and honestly, it’s a game-changer. I use it on sinks, grout lines, hard water spots, and any spot that’s awkward to scrub by hand. I do have two of these: one for the kitchen and one for bathrooms. Because yuck.

Pumice Stones (for Toilets & Tough Stains)

A must-have if you have hard water. Wet the stone first (very important!) and it scrapes off stains without scratching the porcelain. It works fast and is strangely therapeutic.

Drill Brush Attachment Set

This one feels a little extra… but hear me out. Attach it to your drill and suddenly cleaning showers, tile, and outdoor furniture becomes effortless. It removes the “scrub until your arm gives out” part.

Pet Hair Removal Tools (Lint-Free Style)

Whether you use the ChomChom or a silicone brush, these tools pull pet hair from couches, rugs, car seats and mats – places a vacuum never fully gets. With pets, these are non-negotiable. I have a Great Pyrenees… trust me.

Microfiber Cloth Multipack

I use these for dusting, polishing, counters – everything. They’re reusable, don’t leave streaks, and last forever if you wash them without fabric softener. Color-coding them for certain tasks is also a huge help. I have designated colors for the kitchen, bathroom, and general dusting/polishing.

Reusable Glass Spray Bottles

These make my cleaning cabinet look like I actually tried. *Chef’s kiss* I use these for diluted OdoBan, homemade vinegar sprays, and dusting solutions.

My “Surprisingly Handy” Household Helpers

Dryer Vent Cleaner

Dryer vents scare me. They can be such a fire hazard if not maintained, and this make it so easy to clean them out yourself.

Boot Tray (Not Just for Boots)

I use this as a drip-proof spot for wet shoes, cleaning supplies, or even plants. It works anywhere you need to contain a mess.

Airtight Storage Containers for Dishwasher Pods

Keeps pods dry, contained, and out of reach of little hands. Simple but makes the cleaning area look much more streamlined.

My Everyday Cleaning Rhythm (Mom-Life Realistic)

Cleaning isn’t my personality. I’m easily overstimulated by mess and chaos so I need easy rhythms to help keep things a bit more chill.

  • Daily:
Robot vacuum, quick counter wipe-down, sink reset before bed, run the dishwasher, one load of laundry
  • Every few days:
Dyson vacuum + wet clean in the kitchen
  • Weekly:
Bathrooms, full-house mop, deeper scrubbing with the power tools
  • Whenever life feels chaotic:
A 10-minute tidy does more than you think
